1. About Me Steady
Me Steady helps you understand financial documents, check your benefit entitlements, draft letters, and find fast-start job opportunities. The service is free for individual users. We also operate a paid job board for employers, covered separately in section 6 below.
2. What Me Steady is NOT
Important disclaimer
Me Steady does not provide regulated debt advice, financial advice, or legal advice, and we do not negotiate with creditors on your behalf. Debt advice is a regulated activity in the United Kingdom.
For regulated debt advice, please contact a free authorised debt charity:
StepChange Debt Charity, 0800 138 1111
National Debtline, 0808 808 4000
Citizens Advice, citizensadvice.org.uk
The draft letters we generate are templates for you to review, edit, and send yourself. We do not send anything on your behalf, and you are responsible for anything you choose to send.
3. Benefits results are estimates
Benefit and grant figures shown are calculated from published government rates and thresholds, not guaranteed entitlements. Your actual entitlement depends on a full assessment by the relevant authority, which can differ from our estimate. Always confirm before making financial decisions.
4. Document uploads
Your documents are not stored.
When you upload a document, it is processed and then permanently deleted from our servers, we do not keep, copy, or back it up. Only the analysis results are shown to you, and if you are signed in those are saved against your account so you can refer back to them - see our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Accuracy and limitations
Me Steady uses artificial intelligence to analyse documents and explain results. AI systems can make mistakes. Always verify anything important independently, especially:
Benefit entitlement amounts (check with the relevant authority)
Anything a document analysis tells you about a letter or statement (compare against the original)
Job listing details (verify directly with the employer)
We are not liable for decisions you make based on Me Steady's output. The platform is an information tool, not a financial adviser.
6. Employer job board
Employers may list an immediate-start role for a flat fee of £30, covering a 30-day listing.
Every listing is manually reviewed before it goes live, typically within 24 hours.
If your listing is rejected, you are automatically refunded in full through Stripe. No manual request needed.
There are no upfront fees, subscriptions, or charges of any kind to job seekers applying to a listing. Job seekers never pay to use Me Steady.
Listings must be for genuine, immediate-start paid employment. We do not accept multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, self-employment schemes requiring upfront payment from the applicant, or any role where the applicant is asked to pay to work.
We may remove a listing at any time if it is reported and found to breach these terms, is fraudulent, or is misleading.
Job listings sourced from the Adzuna API are separate from employer-submitted listings and are not paid placements on our platform.
7. Your account
You can create an account with an email address and password. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete my account and data" button in Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Me Steady to:
Upload documents belonging to someone else without their consent
Submit fraudulent or misleading job listings
Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. If we make a significant change, we will show a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
